weekend recap

it was a nice weekend here. weather was good until a downpour on sat. meeting a new friend, crafting, shopping, watching movies, hanging out with the family. all making for a great weekend.

friday i left work early for an appointment then ventured on to the CK convention. i met up with april from Studio Calico and we hung out before her class. i really enjoyed meeting her. she is so sweet and i felt like i already knew her. she commented on this fact also...we (at SC) read each others blogs, chat on the message boards and feel like we know each other although we have never met. such a nice feeling. her class was great. had a lot of fun and made 2 awesome layouts. planning to try to get together again...maybe at a scrap related event. keeping an eye open for something fun to do here in the nashville area.







saturday i went in search of pants. found a couple of pair. still need more. trying to get them a little snug (but not so much so that i look like a stuffed sausage) so i can wear them longer. i also had a marathon hair appointment. i have a new color...no more blonde. i now have reddish highlights and a darker base color. i think it is perfect for fall.

sunday rob, scott and i made a trip to costco. scott wanted to be sure we had the freezer filled. now i remember why i don't take him to the grocery store with me! the boy got a lot of food! i let him choose what he wanted since he likes to have some quick things to eat when he comes home from work late. mission accomplished. then home for some movie watching and meatball making. we had home made meatball sandwiches for dinner. yummy!

back to work today. the weekends always go by too quickly.
