today's five for friday is brought to you from sunny delaware. i have been to the beach, gotten sunburned and eaten a crabcake. yum! i wanted to share 5 photos from our tour around Philly yesterday. here goes.
- some Amish goodies from Reading Terminal Market. shoo fly pie, molasses cookies and sticky buns....ah, the childhood memories (i grew up about 30 minutes from Lancaster PA).
- the 2000th mural. we learned on our tour that when someone gets caught doing graffiti they are required to help paint a mural. the city has about 3000 murals. cool idea.
- Franks bar. this was a speakeasy and there are famous Frank's painted on the walls outside. cool.
- the "Rocky" steps. there are 72 steps....interestingly enough these are not the steps to the main entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. i thought there were more than 72. Rocky made it look like there were more.
- sensible walking shoes. i figured that the flip flops i usually wear in the summer would not be the best thing to wear walking around the city.
that's all i have for now.
xoxo
