a post about a prize.......

so if you don't know i am a concert lover. i love to go. i will see just about anyone. i am good at winning tickets on the radio. in the last year i have won tickets to see Poison and Cinderella (i told you i would see anyone--i have even see Neil Diamond because it was free). so i find out this week that a show is coming that i REALLY want to see. it is a reunion tour. mind you i had already gotten tickets for the Eagles for rob for his birthday the 31st. so we will be seeing the Eagles Sept 18. so stoked about it!! rob and i were at dinner the other night and i was telling him about all the shows i want to see but they are all around the same time. let's see: Staind, Hinder and Theory of a Deadman on Aug 17, BuzzFest with Saving Abel, Seether and lots more bands Sept 13, Stone Temple Pilots Aug 24 and John Mayer in Atlanta Aug 29. mind you we also have tickets to see Carrie Underwood in Dec. rob says for me to go but i am not sure i can justify spending all that money right now. so i say i can just go to see STP because i will probably not get a chance to see them again. the others will probably come here again. i make plans to buy STP tickets when they go on sale on Sat at 10am. i call Scott to see if he wants to go with me. of course he says yes.

so i am working late last night and listening to the radio and they announce the cue to call and win but you have to be the 9th caller. i call. busy. i have called before recently to win tickets to the other upcoming shows but have been caller 1 and caller 2 several times. couldn't get thru to be caller 9. bummer! i call again. busy again. i try again and lo and behold the phone is ringing. and it is answered by the dj and he asks me if i am sitting down. i tell him no but i can be. he then yells that i am caller #9!!!!!! i am so excited to say i will be going to see STONE TEMPLE PILOTS on Aug 24th for FREE!!!!! now let's just hope Scott Weiland can stay out of trouble........
