my son is a college graduate........

scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Nashville State CC on May 6 with a degree in culinary arts. my parents and Rob's came to celebrate with us. scott is now working at Capitol Grille in the Hermitage Hotel which is a very prestigious hotel here in Nashville. he even has benefits (or will after 90 days)!!! a real grown up job. he will work the garde manger (cold food) station for a while then will learn the others. he is super stoked--as am i. i am so proud of him. my baby is a chef! he plans to go on to get his Bachelors and then Masters in Gastronomy but will wait for becky to finish school because he will have to move far from here to go. here are a few photos of scott's big day.....


the last photo is of scott and lauren. we so rarely have a time with them both together...she is so proud of her "brudder".

and here are a few of him working at his old job at Radius 10. they were nice enough to allow me to go into the kitchen area to take some pics of him.....

the first photo is halibut with dirty rice and a crawfish ber blanc. the second is chicken with fingerling potatoes, asparagus it was the best chicken i have ever had--and i am not just saying that because scott made it!

tonight i am getting projects ready for the MIB crop on Sat. i am so excited to be able to go and scrapbook. i have not done so--other than make cards--in quite a while. i need to complete the challenges for April and May as well as the new challenge issued at book club last night to see who can get the most layouts done using the sketches from donna downey's new layout book. i hope to be a contender.
