thoughts on a wedding

this post has been a long time coming.  i was waiting to see if i would get the disc with the photos from the photographer.  i have some that were taken at the ceremony by some of the guests but i wanted to use the professional photos.  that will just have to wait.

it was a beautiful day.  sun was shining. weather was wonderful.  warm but not too warm.  a gorgeous Tennessee day!

this wedding was so Scott and Becky.  they wanted informal, laid back....a party with their friends and that is just what they got.  the wedding was held at the historic Belle Meade Plantation.  the ceremony was in the garden and the reception was in the carriage house.

the decor was burlap tablecloths, mason jars with sunflowers and hydrangea, votive candles in smaller mason jars, engagement photos hung on wire with clothes pins and glass jars hung from wire with jute.  catering was by Martin's BBQ Joint.  they had a beautiful ceremony complete with scott "winging" his vows.  a total scott move.  the dj was fantastic and there was lots of dancing. cake by Maples Wedding Cakes (pumpkin and almond...yummy).   the photographer was Matt Andrews.  he and his assistant, Twila got some awesome shots....and fun was had by all in the photo booth!  open bar complete with wine bottle labels with a photo of S & B on it and our fave Amore Del Nonno lambrusco certainly added to the merriment.  someone (ahem) was pretending like she knew how to dance!

(please excuse the color of the photos.  these were taken off facebook. better photos to follow when i receive the disc)

B relaxing before the ceremony

first glimpse of b.  he was so sweet....so excited to see her and the photographer got a much better shot of his reaction.  this moment was so important to him.  glad matt and twila captured it for him.

i am so happy for scott and becky. she was already a part of our family and in her words "this just made it official".  oh, and in becky's dad's words, scott "better bring his A game"!

wishing nothing but love and happiness for them!
